James Joseph Ford was born on November 5, 1974 in Downey California to proud first time parents, Jerry and Sara Ford. He grew up in Southern California and spent his adolescent and adult years in Corona California.

He was an avid student of history and cultures. Jim was also a world traveler who savored the journey of life no matter where it led. As a police dispatcher, Jim excelled at serving others because of his incredible ability to think on his feet, to empathize, and to direct. He dedicated himself to this job wholeheartedly, despite the pressures, and strived to make the system more effective for the public and the emergency personnel. In addition, to this he never lost touch of what and who was important in life. He volunteered his time to Corona High School students, he returned to school to better himself, and remained a reliable friend and devoted son and brother.

Jim's generosity can not be measured in any traditional sense. The number of hours which he spent to better the lives of others, to help those in need, and mentor his juniors cannot be charted. How much he gave and dedicated to helping friends, loved ones, and strangers alike cannot be counted in dollars. These things Jim gavehis time, his love, his guidance, his possessions, his supportcan only be measured by the people who knew him, the people whom he undeniably touched.

Jim passed away suddenly in 2000 at the age of 26. Despite his short number of years, his life experiences spanned continents and touched people of every walk of life. Through the dedication of this foundation in his memory, we strive to continue to touch the lives of others and expand their horizons.
